Flushed with success after Bathstore deal


Chartered surveyors Johnson Fellows is feeling flush after being appointed by the UK’s largest chain of bathroom retailers.

Retail specialists Johnson Fellows is to advise Bathstore.com on its high street, roadside and retail park locations across the UK.

The Birmingham-based company has been appointed by the bathroom specialists to provide property advice on its retail portfolio of over 170 sites, said Johnson Fellows’ partner Nick Wint. Bathstore was acquired recently by venture capitalists Endless in a deal with previous owners Wolseley.

Nick added: “We are very pleased to be working alongside Bathstore as they are the leading bathroom specialists in the UK. We will be helping them to continue with that success maintaining their position as the best in the market place.

“We will be dealing with all of Bathstore’s agency, disposals/re-sites, rent reviews, lease renewals, rating and budget management matters.

“It’s a really varied portfolio including high street, roadside, quasi-retail, out of town and sites. They have got a great brand, they know what their customers want and they believe providing a high quality bespoke service to their customers is paramount to their success.”

Since opening its first store in Croydon in 1990, Bathstore’s retail presence has continued to grow. It now has over 160 stores across the UK. The company currently employs over 500 people and all staff are trained bathroom experts. It is able to stock all of its products, all of the time.
