We are pleased to announce that we have extended our contract to manage the West Midlands Portfolio on behalf of Greater Manchester Pension Fund for a further five years.
The West Midlands Portfolio, part of the Greater Manchester Pension Fund/Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, comprises four properties:
- The Red Rose Shopping Centre located in Sutton Coldfield town centre is home to 12 national and local retailers. The centre includes a multi-storey car park and the Sutton Coldfield Library, which officially reopened to the public earlier this month (June) after being closed for nearly three years due to asbestos removal and refurbishment works.
- The Bearwood Shopping Centre located on the High Street in Bearwood, near Smethwick. It is anchored by Aldi and Argos and includes eight national and independent retailers.
- 24,000 sq ft of office space within Birmingham Business Park.
- A parade on Kings Heath High Street including Wilkinson, Burton, Bonmarché, Scrivens, Greggs and Specsavers. Redevelopment work is currently underway to create a new double unit within the parade, which will see a new retailer take occupancy near September in readiness for Christmas trading.
Angela Sheen, associate partner at Johnson Fellows, said: “We are pleased to have retained the West Midlands Portfolio contract and hope we can continue our successful relationship with the property group for many years to come.
“We are providing services such as managing assets, preparing service charge budgets, administering leases, liaising with tenants and arranging maintenance contracts.”
Johnson Fellows has been working with the property group since 2001.
